I found these at Buffalo Exchange some time in June and an employee was visibly upset that she couldn’t fit into these shoes and I could. She didn’t know how worried I was on the inside due to the squeezing my feet would have to do to make them work but these babes managed to stretch to perfection. Officially the summer shoe of 2011. I’m adding them to the hall of fame.
A day before our weekend trip to Eugene, my car started making a funny, metal- grinding sound coming from one of my wheels, so on the morning of our departure Aaron and I went to the mechanics for a quick check/ quick fix. NOPE. My breaks had to be replaced and it took 3 hours. During the wait, we walked around and spotted a huge garage sale and I found this, probably never been used, tote bag. It’s called BrellaBag, and I love the tag about as much as the bag itself.
It’s the hottest week of the summer in Portland and I have the next-season itch. I found this acrylic boat-neck sweater at House of Vintage over the weekend. I know stripes are “cool” right now but they have forever been cool to me and a girl can always appreciate them when they’re vertical.
When I brought this home, Aaron said it was “pretty punk”. It’s felted wool and will go perfectly with my creepers and bullet belt. No but seriously, it’s great, devils lock or no devils lock.
I found this beautiful mid-century light fixture at a garage sale. It caught my eye because it reminds me of a Schoolhouse Electric Co. fixture which I would love to own but can’t afford. This one only cost me $1! I’m going to have to rig something to make it fit over our bathroom light, but when it does, the space will be much improved. :)

At work, we received a new magnet. They’re used to hold down the polymer plates we print with so they don’t move around and F up whatever it is we’re printing. It’s 10” x 12” meaning we can print a large surface, good for like say….posters. The purpose is kinda beside the point because the packaging is incredible. I’m pretty sure it’s all letterpressed and I can’t figure out how they got that red A so solid.
